The golden building you see on the right on this page is located on the Burg square. That is the same square of the Basilica of the Holy Blood and City Hall.
On the left map you see a purple star with yellow dot in, that is where the gold building is located.
I'll be waiting in front of this building. I'll be wearing a yellow lanyard, so it is easy to find me.
Some people visit Bruges with a cruise ship. These ships dock at Zeebrugge (Seabruges) and that's about 18km (11,8mi) from Bruges.
Most of the times there are taxi's waiting when a ship arrives. A one-way ride to (or from) Bruges is about €50 per taxi (not per person).
You want to be dropped off as close as possible to the meeting point, of course. Tell the driver to drop you off at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Burg square. Below you find a view (and a map) from the Crowne Plaza Hotel to the meeting point (81 meter/88yard).
From the view, just take a left turn around the corner.
People visiting Bruges by train need a quick way in the city.
From experience I know using public transportation can be challenging, but let me help you.
Leave the train station, in front of the station you'll see a lot of busses arriving and leaving. Now you need to know which one to take.
Below you find a topview of the train station. The blue arrow is the main exit, the station is marked in red.
The orange marked area is where the big busses, going to surrounding towns, arrive and leave. You don't need those.
The green area is where smaller busses stop. Those are the ones you need to get to the center of the city.
Get on a bus with the number 12. Careful, there is a number 12 going to a place named "Katelijneparking". Don't take that bus.
Aks the driver to warn you when you're close to Market square, they're friendly (generally). Get off at Market square, from there it's less than 5 minutes walking to the meeting point. See the map below for details on where to go to.
The green stars are the spots where the busses stop. The green line is how to walk to the meeting point.
